Counsellors Wanted
Ubuntu Devon is the lead provider of counselling for ethnic minority communities in Devon. We have developed a multicultural model of counselling which takes cultural identity and cultural norms into account. Owing to increasing demand for our services and the growing number of Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Devon, we are inviting BACP registered therapists to join us. We are planning to develop our services more widely in Devon and further afield. While we have some paid posts available, we also welcome volunteers.
We require practitioners who have some knowledge and experience of ethnic minority cultures. Particularly welcome are speakers of: Kurdish Sorani, Turkish, Farsi, Bengali, Pashto and Polish. Experience of working remotely as well as face-to-face is essential.

PART TIME RESEARCHER
Job Title: Community Researcher
Reports To: Ubuntu Devon Director of Services
Hours: 2 days per week (14hrs per week) for 6 months
Salary: £18 per hour/£126 per day
Opportunity Type: Part-time; fixed term for 6 months. Closing date for applications: 3rd September 2025.
Location: Exeter, Devon
Overall purpose of job:
To work under the management of the Director of Services for Ubuntu Devon to carry out research into an identified area of interest for ethnic minority communities in Devon. We are particularly welcoming of applications from people of ethnic minority backgrounds because we are valuing lived experience, as per schedule 9.1 of the Equality Act.

ADMIN JOB
Job Title: Ubuntu Devon Assistant Administrator
Reports to: Ubuntu Devon Director of Services
Hours: 6 hours per week, working hours flexible to meet the needs of the service
Salary: £15 per hour (2 x 3 hours a week); £90 per week.
Opportunity Type: Part Time, on self-employed basis
Location: Exeter, Devon

Overall purpose of job:
To work under the management of the Director of Services for Ubuntu Devon carrying out general administative tasks including: budget keeping; record keeping; filing; stats; policies; Keeping minutes.
